Subject: Sept 11 Anniversary Precautions
As the one-year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks draws near, employees at all levels around the world are uneasy about what may unfold on that date. Already, the number of transatlantic flights scheduled for September 11, 2002, has been reduced significantly due to the reluctance of passengers to travel on that date.
We stress that there is no credible and authoritative information as to what kinds of attacks, if any, might be staged. Corporate Security continues to monitor both public and privileged sources in case this situation changes.
Government, business and media representatives around the world offer similar advice as the first anniversary approaches: go about your business as normal, but be aware of your environment.
