ostentatious mediocrity

Random Bits

* After the incessant post mortem Reagan fawning and Bush II comparisons I struggled with what the *real* difference between the two were. After the World Court's ruling on Friday regarding the the "Great Wall of Love" in Israel, it hit me. (editorialized for affect)

-- Reagan policy regarding the Berlin Wall: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall".
-- Bush policy regarding the Israel Wall: "Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it keeps suiciders out".

* Speaking of Reagan, I never knew he prevented abortions as president decades before being elected. He truly *was*, the Quizat Haderach.

* Abstinence education works well when combined with a full understanding of impact, options and consequences. It works incredibly well when combined with ingrained guilt.

* Osama won. Film at 11. Wake up folks. When we're so friggin scared that we can't hold our own elections without having them at risk with the vague *possibility* of a terrorist strike, we are out of control. Remember, this is the same administration who's slowly erroding your civil rights and attacking the attorneys working to defend the populace.

* Armstrong Williams asks an amazing question this week. "So explain to me again, Mr. Bond, why President Bush would consider appearing at the NAACP's annual convention." BECAUSE HE'S A UNITER, STUPID!!!

* Abbreviated Dennis Prager; "As I have long believed, in general, conservatives think liberals are fools and liberals think conservatives are evil." and, I'd like to prove the liberal's point by showing my intolerant side.

* Delay DeLay. Couldn't happen to a nicer exterminator.

* ROTFLMFAO

* Instead of having to search around the web for how-to's on negatively impacting the GOP convention in NYC this year, the NY Daily's summarized it for you in one easy location. odd.

* Blow Job. Playing with my 1st Amendment rights and ability to Googlebomb.

Sign of the Times

Because one Phil Gramm wasn't enough, Texas had to stoop to replace him.

"It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle. But that does not mean it is right. . . . Now you must raise your children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife."

-- Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), advocating a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in a speech Thursday to the Heritage Foundation.

the horror.
