Actions, affirmative.

* After snubbing the NAACP^4, Bush headed off to Detroit to speak to the Urban League. It's not enough to send a mixed message you have to double speak and then appear sincere. In the discussion of race in politics, it's important to know some about the speaker and more about their backing and "their umbrella of cause".

But he said black voters should ask themselves, "Does the Democratic Party take African-American voters for granted? I know plenty of politicians who assume they have your vote but did they earn it and do they deserve it?"

Answer: Yes. see: civil rights vs florida voters.

* All GOP acquired signatures in Michigan for Nader should be required by law to vote for Nader. Supporting a cause simply to defeat a greater cause should come at the expense of the end tally.

* WWJVF? Whoever Rove told them to. But that's dependant on Jesus' pastor sending the campaign the list of church attendees and then pushing the agenda from the pulpit. It's ok though, that whole tax exempt status isn't a barrier, it's an opportunity to surmount the insurmountable. Remember, christians are not held to man's law, but God's law first and there's nothing in the bible about taxation of religion or speed limits.

* War on Terror..............ongoing. War on Iraq................funded. War on American Citizens' choice................still ramping up at an increasing rate. Policies are not incarcerating people quick enough, only ~4% of the population's serving time.

* Sandy Berger, flavor of the month. My knee-jerk guess is this will be a big something flack about very little....... brought to light to shade the Plame investigation and cloud content of the convention. Check out Media Matters timeline of the story's evolution from missing documents to "my god, he stuffed it into Socks the cat". Again, if you missed Outfoxed, buy it, watch it, it's worth the $15.

* Oh, no.............. the NYT is a liberal paper. Yeah and the WSJ and the Washington "Moonie" Times are way right. So it's a matter vs anti-matter thing and they cancel each other out.

* The convention coverage should be in full swing tonight......don't forget to check in on the local teams from the BOR as they cover it like real people rather than paid hacks.
