Beat to the Punch
Some days it doesn't pay to compile stories, you get upped by all the cream of the crop blog-dits/pun-gers?
* The CPA seem to have "lost" a couple of our tax dollars. You know the ones those that could have funded NCLB or SSI. kos has a better take.
* Speaking of tax dollars, it's time for a horticulture lesson for the battering rams of the local PD. Which also heaps irony on the entire WOsD with the Bush campaign recommending Prozac to a troubled nation.
* Speaking of Bush. With the bad hair dye and the goatee............ he's Dennis Miller!!!!
* Don't let time lapse now if you haven't registered to vote. It was important in 2000 and even more so this year. If you don't believe me, check it out..... even the GOP in Florida are concerned.
* Pakistan gave us our July surprise. What's are they giving us for Halloween. Yay for another capture........the timing seems, well, suspect.
* Important articles on Bush; article 1 and article 2. Just go read.
* Are we in danger of a police state? Not yet..... we all still have more handguns than the government. We are in danger of an idiot state where self pleasure is illegal and scarfing a PayDay is a crime. It's a shame that real crime's been reduced so much that the cops have extra time on their hands.
* Koppel interviews Jon Stewart.
STEWART: No, but you CAN say that's BS. You don't need humor to do that because you have what I wish I had which is credibility and gravitas. This is interesting stuff, and it's all part of the discussion and I think it's a good discussion to have, but I think it's important to take a more critical look.
