Boondoggle at the OK Corral

Quick update on the Dallas Democrats Executive Committee meeting.

What they don't have in cohesion, they make up for with confusion.

Whatever mistakes Susan Hays may have made throughout her tenure could not be as bad as the behavior displayed by the "Outst Susan Berzerker Cabal" at tonight's meeting. The party appears to not need a strong leader as much as it needs a cohesive base that support the entire party and doesn't struggle from within, for some perception of power. Dallas County was cheated out of 60 new Democratic precinct chairs tonight. That, in and of itself, is the morally reprehensible part, all the other bickering was just an unfortunate annoyance.

*Due to a server move tomorrow, there will be more on this Wednesday, that and I need to calm down some.

I agree! I knew there was going to be trouble when I was handed 2 agendas as the beginning of the meeting! Why couldn't the resolutions have been presented under Susan's "new business" agenda item? The splitters have to make up their own competing agenda??? What's up with that?

Note to the "yellow agenda" crowd: you can't build an organization by shouting down the existing leadership. Here's what you do--come to the meeting, swear in the new Precinct Chairs, bring up beefs in "new business" and go on.

Existing Precinct Chairs were tearing up their cards in disgust when I left the meeting early (after figuring out I wasn't getting sworn in to chair my new precinct).

Thanks a lot for the entertainment, people, but I'm done with your stupid "meetings." Why drive half an hour for pointless bullshit when I can stay home and watch TV?
