Here's two versions of the same quote, as reported at cbc.ca on the same day:
"The industry has been overserviced for a long time," said David Carr, editor of Wings magazine. "Too many seats chasing too few bums, as we often say. Now we've got some rationalization."
In Canada, there have been too many seats on regularly scheduled flights to go around. "The industry has been over-serviced for a long time," said David Carr, editor of Wings magazine. "Too many seats chasing too few bodies."
Now which one of those do you think represents what the analyst actually said, and which one do you think was modified to appeal to the sensibilities of the typical Canadian?
