Support the Troops... (until they come home)
-- GOP strategy
What prompted the committee's entry into the Schmidt-Hackett race was a comment made by Hackett in a USA Today article published Thursday. Hackett, talking about his service as a marine in Iraq, is quoted as saying, "I've said I don't like the son-of-a-b--- that lives in the White House. But I'd put my life on the line for him."Because Hackett said that, Forti said, "we decided to bury him."
Every time a Democratic war veteran is slandered, a kitty dies.
Think of the Feline-Americans.
Posted by kerry at July 29, 2005 11:02 AMFor those of you who have not been in the military, i.e., 99% of the readership here...most soldiers are Republicans. Why do you think the Democrats don't wish to count oversees military ballots in a close election? This I tell you - when our brothers in arms return from their glorious conquests of pagan lands, you should bend the knee and thank them for vanquishing the Islamic radical who is hell bent on murdering every free-thinking woman, every homosexual, every agnostic liberal, and just about every other regular reader of this website.
Posted by: Scipio Aemilianus Africanus-Minor at July 30, 2005 02:52 PMMy Oh My what a good little BushBot you are! (Wait, wait. I need to stop laughing so I can type. Whew! Okay, here we go.) Your indoctrination is complete, you lucky son-of-a-gun. You are ever so good at quoting the Repug talking points and darn proud to do so! Such a good little boy you are. Loyal to the gosh-darn end, reality be damned! ***SIGH*** Guess what, BB? Substitute the word “silencing” for “murdering” in this sentence and you have another group of radicals who are “hell bent on murdering every free-thinking woman, every homosexual, every agnostic liberal, and just about every other regular reader of this website.” Yea, they call themselves fundamentalist Christians. Now you run along and feel free to come back when you have an independent thought. There’s a good boy.

Once you've returned from fighting "Islamic Radicals" in pagan lands, holler, I'll buy you a drink. Nothing I like more than explaining the difference between an ultra-religious radical and a pagan to a drunk. As we see our troops return home and Republicans treat them with such scorn as they seek a life in public service, one has to question who's the true patriot.
