Thirty Thousand.

QUESTION: Since the inception of the Iraq war, I'd like to know the approximate total of the Iraqis who have been killed. And by Iraqis, I include civilians, military, police, insurgents, translators...

BUSH: How many Iraqi citizens have died in this war? I would say 30,000, more or less, have died as a result of the initial incursion and the ongoing violence against Iraqis.
We've lost about 2,140 of our own troops in Iraq.

Holy shit, more or less? I thought we weren't keeping totals on Iraqi casualties and he's able to yank this number out of thin air?

The scariest thing is that that number, while undoubtedly low, does match the number of reported deaths at www.iraqbodycount.org. Maybe Bush finally found out that the internet has more then hot born-again on born-again action on it.
