Profiles in Courage.

It's tough these days to be blindly bigotted. What, with all that PC rhetoric and 'love your neighbor' talk being force fed through the living room thought box nightly. Taking a stand really means taking a risk and when it's an edgy unpopular topic you find yourself on the opposing side of, it's one thing to sit at home and complain and vastly different to take it to the front lines.

Today we profile, Michelle Dallacroce... a Lexus driving cowgirl so drawn in, by the plague of illegal immigrants she moved from Chicago to Phoenix so the restrictions now placed on her children would give her something to complain about and a cause celeb. She's also the Queen Bee over at Mothers Against Immigration where her love of country trumps her need to show love for her fellow man.

Mothers, Grandmothers and families throughout Phoenix, Arizona are fearful that with the 100,000 illegal aliens supporters and illegal aliens who will march on Monday, April 10, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona could become dangerous.

Sound like the 'Reefer Madness' rhetoric from the '30s, much? So much anger, so few solutions. I'd bet that if instead of insulating herself inside her house, maybe she got to know an immigrant or two and endeared herself to the larger community, she'd feel less intimidated. That and if she's hadn't dedicated her life to clinging to the hottest new wedge issue.

It's comforting to know that although she's working to influence immigration policy, inflame her community and eliminate any possibility of getting a roofer or gardener, her champion Trivial Pursuit player skills are legendary.

One of the speakers is Michelle Dallacroce, who heads a group called Mothers Against Illegal Aliens.

When I introduce myself as a reporter from Colorado, she asks if I know John Denver. You can't make this stuff up.

Dallacroce begins to speak, and the protesters begin to, well, protest.

"As mothers, we fight to protect our children, and we will fight to protect our country," Dallacroce says. "We don't want to send our children into an America that has been mutated beyond recognition by massive illegal immigration."

"You don't speak for this mother!" a protester shouts.

Go, show her some love.

The only people who can complain about illegal aliens in this country are native Americans.

MOTHERS AGAINST IMMIGRATION!!! What gutter has this country fallen into?

Every US citizen who is not a Native American is a descendant of illegal immigrants... the Europeans weren't invited to this land! And come to think of it, most Latin Americans have some indigenous heritage and thus a more "legal" claim to this continent.
