Wouldn't it be nice to be so absolutely positively sure you were right that your moral clarity exhuded an xray effect on all that is wrong in the world? Whenever you established a premise it was not only above reproach but caused a shockwave of truthiness across the globe that instantaeously changed the minds of the reprehensible leftist pagans bent on the ultimate destruction of humankind?
I believe the Left has been wrong on virtually every great moral issue in the last 30 years.(...)
Israel's fight for existence against the primitives, fanatics and sadists in Hezbollah and Hamas and elsewhere in the Arab/Muslim world who wish to destroy it. Anyone on the Left who cannot see this is either bad, a useful idiot for Islamic terrorists, anti-Semitic or all three. There is no other explanation for morally condemning Israel's war on Hezbollah.
Unless the condemnation has nothing to do with the erradication of Hezbollah (which is a just cause) but more to do with the indiscriminate bombing that's taking innocent life with little to no regard for international law.
Posted by kerry at July 25, 2006 08:15 AMCharacteristics of a Katyusha rocket lobbed over into Israel:
- indiscriminate bombing
- takes innocent life
- shows 'little to no regard for international law' . . . unless you call terrorism an act of upholding international law.
Characteristics of IDF defending the sovereign nation of Israel:
- precision bombing
- targets key players in Hezbollah
- kills the innocent only when cowardly Muslim terrorists deliberately hide behind the skirts of their weakest members, placing prime targets beside/under mosques, UN buildings, and any place that would evoke the largest outcry were that edifice and its inhabitants to be in the fallout of the precision bombing of the terrorist target next door.
You know, it was Lenin who came up with the term "useful idiot". He was talking about the liberals of the West. Think about it.
Posted by: George at July 26, 2006 10:19 AMThanks for poppin' over. Couple of points;
1. Please note the "just cause" regarding attacking Hezbollah.
2. What part of precision bombing includes taking out a UN facility?
regards
