Rick Perry, in a staggeringly large lead for re-election is now pandering to the base by offering our tax dollars to faith-based initiatives. Ranks right up there with hiring a Spanish company to build us a new, yet useless toll road.
As usual, he's hyper-dismissive and sees nothing wrong with instituting a melding of church and state.
"Critics would criticize me if I were speaking to the Busy Bee Quilting Club," he said.
No, critics would find that cute and amusing... not a threat to balance and democracy.
