QOTD - Normalizing the Flippin' and Floppin'

Don' go changin'... jus ta please me... I love you just the way you arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre woo ah woo ah woooo

Recently, Mr. Romney wrote an open letter to the Republican Party detailing his plan. He said, "If we're going to change Washington, Republicans have to put our own house in order. We can't be like Democrats — a party of big spending. We can't pretend our borders are secure from illegal immigration. We can't have ethical standards that are a punch-line for Jay Leno. When Republicans act like Democrats, America loses. It's time for Republicans to start acting like Republicans."

(...)
Mr. Romney believes, as I do, that there is not a single challenge America faces that we can't overcome. But to get there, Republicans must first make changes in "our own house," because change must begin with us.

Including, right, your stance on a woman's choice, guns, gay marriage and taxes to name a few? Flipflopping for John Kerry appeared more anecdotal in nature... more a casualty of message. From you, it seems like policy. You sure a nation who views hardheadedness as a virtue (see: GWB) is ready for nuance?
