The side benefits of being a member of God's Own Party.
* When your religious zealots condemn America for 9/11 and Katrina, embracing them has no consequence.
* When you're caught with a prostitute, an underage page or soliciting sex in a airport bathroom the option to keep your job is still there.
* When corruption reigns supreme, it's not shamed or punished but folded into the status quo.
* Declaration of success can stand, even when the facts dispute the claim. Reality is what you state it is.
* You can condemn racism while still uttering the words jive-tawkin' and homey and still be taken seriously.
* A national mortgage crisis, collapse of financial institutions and a declining dollar can be signs of improvement and be further justification for a reduction in taxes.
* Smaller government and personal privacy can still be part of your platform as you approved wiretapping citizens, data mining and expand the government exponentially.
* You can scold others for not being "strict constitutionalists" and holler about the 2nd Amendment while eroding all the other amendmentments that truly affect the populace directly.
It's good to be the chosen.
