I respect everyone's right to an opinion no matter how wacky or off-base it may be. I do though, find it strange that the 'right' prefers ad hominem attacks over issue discussion.
On a lighter note, xmas is still just a few days away..................it's not too late. hint hint.
So TomPaine.Com is offering an award of $10K to the person who coughs up the name of the Congressional piggy responsible for adding the Eli Lilly pork into the Homeland Security bill. A simple game of deductive reasoning's in order.....where's Eli Lilly based? In that state, who's the largest contributor of them all? What's Dick Lugar getting? What's Evan Bayn getting? (gotta love the bi-partisan funding)
Let's pretend that we don't want to jump to conclusions for a second......let's just play search and learn. Who in the current cabinet used to work for Eli Lilly? Who all else have worked for Eli Lilly? Maybe they're all not so bad and they just have our best interest at heart.....I mean really....when people die and lawsuits result, who really gets hurt? You got that right, the stockholder.
On the twelfth day of Christmas

Two parties in as many days, and he's still got energy to flirt with the ladies.......................
Now that all the Xmas cards have been mailed, I can publish the enclosure without ruining the surprise. For those who didn't get cards, sorry,.....email me with your mailing address and we'll either rectify the problem or roll you into 2003. For those whose cards were delayed by the USPS.........not my problem. :-)

Lotts and Lotts and Lotts of commentary. It seems ironic that Lott's spokesperson keeps winding up having to state "clearly he didn't mean it", year after year. You think by now, he buys it? To paraphrase a line from Proverbs, "As a man believes in his heart, so he is". It is no accident that these words are rolling off the tongue of a man who represents a state that flies this flag. Having recently visited the "land of revisionist history" and crashed a Mississippi Republican fundraiser..............it's no surprise that we're getting a Freudian snippet of Lott's subconscious.
More on TL's SNAFU. It appears as though Gore's growing cahunas(sp) right before our eyes.
- More Trent Lott. Deconstruction of his "apology"; "You heard me wrong". Give this man some rope.
- Why does it come as a surprise that owners of behemoth SUVs are self-units and a danger to everyone else on the road? Nothing beats a weaving SUV piloted by a habitual cell phone user in rush-hour traffic. It's the adult version of dodgeball.
- Throughout Shrub's illustrious career in the oil industry, every time he got into a bind or began to fail, some friend of the family, seemed to come along at the right time and bail him out. Now that he's at the top, the policy is to find fault with those he hand-picked........? Guess the executive branch truly is being run like a business. What though will we do in 2008 when all the tax cuts and defense spending have completely erradicated any surplus and the debt becomes a crisis instead of managable?
Time to spend a little $$ and decorate the office very early on a Monday morning.
Honey, please read. This article's about 5 years late for me...........but still quite relevant.
So, Adam and Eve were Iraqi? Shouldn't Israel be focusing on reclaiming their biblical birthplace rather than that those tiny little strips of land now occupied by Palestinians? Or...............are the Iraqis the chosen people and there was simply a clerical error somewhere back in the early translations of what's known now as the bible?
If the Garden of Eden was in fact somewhere in or around the Tigres and Euphrates rivers, then it would make sense that the biblical Genesis occured in Iraq, right? Unless of course, you're a mormon and they believe the Garden was somewhere in Missouri.
Maybe, this is why we're going to war.......................maybe?
For fun and to jog your clubbing memories of the early nineties, I present this for your viewing pleasure.
who needs TV when you have a washing machine?
Dear Mr. Poindexter, as a "pardoned" felon................we feel it's necessary to watch the watcher.
So Capitol Hill can shut down for the year without approving unemployment benefits for the masses, but the White House can approve cash bonuses for appointees? Glad our priorities are straight.
Ladies, next time your picking up the latest fashions from your local Wally-World or a vat of pickles from Sam-land, think on this. What type of culture are you funding and could Target and Costco suffice as an alternative?
So much more to learn.............................so little time.
Holiday driving with dad @ Dave & Buster's
*Sigh* With a huge box in the closet, I just can't seem to trash my nostalgia. The death...or imminent death of the cassette will be tragic.................if for no other reason than the memories each mix-tape conjurs up. This of course, from a collector of LPs. I just can't part with music, no matter what format it's in.
Fat, sassy & full of turkey? Try swallowing this budgetary factoid. Then, after you've finished pissin' and moanin' about how your federally mandated contributions are spent.....fear those who are watching you read such controversial opinions.
